Google is rolling out IMAP support for Gmail accounts. IMAP provides a better method to access your email from multiple devices. For instance if check your email at school, on your cell, and again at home, IMAP ensures that new inbox is accessible from any device at any given time. IMAP offers a more stable experience over. Where POP by personal experience is prone to lose of emails/ or downloading the same email various times. IMAP is favored of POP cos’ of two-way syncing capabilities between email-clients and web based GMail.
There is a new UI too.
